This year is going to have some nice changes, one of the main ones being
that it is now a 4 day event. Dates are 5th - 8th, Wicksteed Park.
If you're new to S2KUK or just want to get more involved with events,
this is a fantastic way to get to know the boys and girls on S2KUK.
I can't recommend it enough. It's a slow paced event where you can chill,
drink, admire cars and have fun.
Going to post up some piccies later to remind folk of why you should go
to JAE

Please note that the date of this event has now changed to a week later, 12th Sept - 15th Sept.
Minvo will be along shortly to amend the initial post with the new dates.
I'm awaiting approval from HR on moving my booked time off to the new dates....

So they have moved from the last known good weather window to one where the weather always goes to pish - dare I ask what the reason(s) are?

You may ask indeed. I can't answer - but you may ask.
Seriously though I will wait for AE to spot this and find out from his JAE contacts.

Copy and paste from the JAE FB Page:
OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:
2013 has already proved to be an interesting year for events..........if only for dates! The F1 Grand Prix is on at a different time and even Goodwood Festival of Speed has changed its dates.
For the first time JAE has found itself on the same weekend as Trax. Trax having to move because of MotoGP taking their original date. Recognising that both are very different kinds of events but that JAE and Trax attract a good number of Japanese cars and car clubs we did not want to force people to make a choice and, with Trax being one day and JAE all weekend it would not be fair to run them at the same time. So, and after much discussion, it has been agreed to move JAE.
JAE 2013 will now start on Thursday 12th September and will finish on Sunday 15th September. The venue will remain the ever fantastic Wicksteed Park and all the usual fun and games, tunnel run, show n shine, football and fireworks will still be there. In fact we’ve even added some new events but more about that next time!
Gates open at 6pm on Thursday 12th September and are open 24 hours a day until we close.
See you all on 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th September!

I suspect that the organisers aren't taking any chances and want a really good turnout. Last year's turnout didn't feel as busy as previous years and I think it was because santapod or some other event was on at the same time.
Stevo - I will definitely make it for Sat and Sun but just awaiting approval on time off for the thurs & fri.
