NORTH WALES MEET V - 29th March 2008
PLEASE REGULARLY CHECK THIS FIRST POST AS IT WILL BE KEPT UPDATED
UPDATE - Date is now definitely Saturday 29 March 2008. It is a SINGLE day event.
START AND FINISH POINT WILL BE ST DAVID'S PARK HOTEL, Ewloe. Meet in time for 10.00 - 10.15 departure - Collect info from AdrianEagle Just off A494 near Queensferry, West of Chester. Same place as last year.
Travelodge available on A55 - http://www.travelodge.co.uk/find_a_hotel/h...sterNorthopHall
The drive will once again take in the EVO TRIANGLE for those who have not done it and for those who desperately wish to do it again! As usual with the North Wales Meet it will be a good test of driving skills over some excellent roads. At this time of year, the roads should not be busy and we will be able to have some safe excitement. We will naturally, and as usual, abide by the rules of the road.
As I will probably be leading, the drive will not be too fast. I will not be doing the EVO triangle myself (how many times can one do it?) so at that point everyone will be on their own!!!
Drive Route which I have now sorted will, as usual, be handed out on the day. Due to number of attendees it may be necessary to have two groups. Is there anyone who will have a navigator who can read simple instructions, be willing to lead a group? Drive will be 133.7 miles and anticipate starting about 10.00 am and finish about 4.00 p.m. subject to how long people kick tyres and natter at the Ponderosa, just hope we don't lose any Tax Discs this time! You will need half a tankful, plus some, of fuel at the start depending on your driving style.
Lunch now organised, fill your belly with good grub at reasonable prices.
It will probably be the last one I will be able to organise as I am rapidly approaching the s2k retirement age and may be forced to give up my steering wheel to someone younger, so a good turnout would be welcome.
For those who are interested you can make it into a week-end affair and enjoy the sights and sounds of Snowdonia and North Wales in general. There are plenty of good reasonable hotels.
