Default 05 clutch - Possible problem?

Hi all,

I've had my 2005 S2k for about 5 weeks now, absolutely love it (apart from the fuel bills), the car has done about 18500 miles in total but I'm concerned theres a problem with the clutch.

When putting it in 1st I always hear a clunk (and feel it), is this normal?
Secondly reversing the thing is a bloody nightmare, I've never stalled a car so many times when reversing, It seems to judder quite badly and I have to keep the revs up alot more than any car I've driven before.

I'm hoping this is an S2000 thing? or at worst just a clutch pedal/cable adjustment?

Any tips/insight is really appreciated.

Cheers,

Mike

Clunking into 1st and 2nd gear is fairly normal, but not the clutch thing. It's not just you is it? I.e. not fully depressing the pedal whilst looking backwards. Seems odd that it would just be reverse.

Clutch is hydraulic, so no adjustment.

The S doesn't have much torque at low revs so you need to keep the revs well up for low speed manouvering.
