Just read the article and the guy might be innocent. could have been driving at normal speed and come round a corner where the 13yr old girl walked out without looking. Could have swerved and just clippeder but not seen the baby behind and hit him. Could have pannicked (who wouldn't) and not hining straight drove off and dumped the car. Trajic but might have been an accident where the driver wasn't totally to blame. Have to wait and see i'm sure they will track him down if he doesn't come forward.

If anyone wants to continue this discussion (although it might be too political) perhaps they could start a new thread on O/T?

I will start a new thread on the "politics and current events" forum - surely, the moderators can't object to a bit of heated political debate there (and it would be good to see a UK based thread in there)?

You can't be serious!!!

There could indeed be more to the accident than meets the eye, but this mongrel dragged the child 300 yards and drove off with total disregard for whether the child was still alive or not. For that alone he shoud be incarcerated for as long as the law allows and banned from driving for life!

Who wouldn't??????

just saying the story is obviously angled toward the mad driver though untill the police reconstruct the accident nobody knows what really happened and the driver might not be so much at fault. He might not have known he was dragging the kid along? Tragic but can't judge till you know all the facts.
