I have my car booked in for it's 54k service on Saturday but a lot of the stuff on the schedule won't be required so I should only be paying for a couple of hours labour at most.

Ring around a few dealers as most will price match!

I'm taking mine to 2 Mills in Chester as it's got a good rep. GFs parents live down the road. Newcaslte Sringfield were cheaper, but 2 Mills are price matching!!

Hmm, don't hold much faith in 2 Mills -

Fair enough if you have warranty, but since his car is 4 years old, should be out?

TBH, i'd service the car myself - I know it gets done right then. Keep the reciepts for all the parts and jobs a guddun.

Get your own fluids etc....buy them from opie

I use Mobile engine oil (5ltrs), Silkolene Diff Oil for LSD (2ltrs), Castrol Brake fluid (2ltrs) and plugs. That's all is required for a 54k service.

For the next service you'll need gearbox oil (2ltrs) as well so might as well get them all in one go if you get stuff from opie. I would recommend some Redline MTL.

He may well have an extended warranty.

Many of us don't have the tools, skills or time to service our cars. I'd much rather Jorge at Crown do it than do it myself, that way I know it's been done right.

That presumably is why Taylot has asked his dealer for a quote for the job.
