Default 99 RON coming to Shell

This is the new 99 octane V-Power set to replace the current V-Power.

No word yet on the price...

98 I believe. I used to run V-power all the time until I started using Tesco momentum 99 ron. V-power is ridiculously pricey in my area and I can't feel any difference between the two.

Do you get a nice quilted handle on every pump?

Probably just a rebrand to try and drum up some business. I'm pretty sure it's 99ron too. From folk I've spoken to they've had no issues and generally the car runs best with v power, not just s2000s.

I out v power in my car, tried momentum once and never had an issue with it.

I was under the impression that Shell Optimax as it used to be called was 98ron and Vpower has always been 99ron. I'm sure it says 99 on the pumps!?

From Wikipedia:

In the United Kingdom and Denmark (where Super Unleaded must be a minimum of 97 RON), V-Power has a rating of 99 RON (whereas V-Powers' predecessor Shell Optimax was rated at 98 RON). There is one other 99 RON fuel available in the UK, namely Tesco MOMENTUM99.

It states in the book...

"Contains 25% more friction reducer/modifier. (compared to previous V-Power)

Designed to instantly get to work on your engine on deposits which can reduce performance.

Shell V-Power Nitro+ Unleaded is a 99 octane (RON) formulation. "

And that's about it really...
