Two and a half GALLONS?!!!! Bloody hell, bring back the olden days!!
Yep when I started driving
When you started driving you had to stoke the boiler and went on a look out for the finest colliery!

I think it was very early 80s there was up roar because it reached a pound a gallon, and then we had the choice of 2, 3, 4, and at some stations 5 star which was about 101 octane

When I started driving it was 59.9 per litre for unleaded and 63.9 for 4 star at the local Shell station.

It was below a pound a litre in 2007? i think the price of it crashed to around 83.9 a litre but since then it has just slowly risen back up to what we see today.

Who do you think will pay for the advertising and re-branding? I'll stick to Momentum, it's cheaper, seems to do the job well enough and I get my clubcard points.

I always thought shell super was 99 Octane....does anyone know if it is true that it does not have bio-sh**e in it?

35p a gallon was the time to be around ! I seem to remember I could fill my bike up for less than a quid !and we were complaining then as the price had doubled !!
