I'd start by looking at the costs of insuring a LHD version
Apart from the spares situation, the biggest problem will be lack of visibility on our country roads The warranty is EU, so it should be honoured here, but the parts are not going to be available if you need something LHD specific. If you're going to register it here, you may need to replace the headlight units, which are HID and not cheap! It depends on what you want to do with the car and what connections you've got with Germany.

Hi S200RJ, thanks for the reply... As I was previously looking at purchasing a LHD Audi TT, I don't think I'll have any probs with it being a left hooker (well I hope not) and I think I should be able to pull off driving it over here.
Really I just want something 2nd hand that will get me the best amount of performance and fun possible for around the

I don't know what the additional costs would be for bringing / using a LHD in the UK. If you were resident outside the UK and using it here, there wouldn't be a problem. To import and register a LHD here, may be costly. The headlights are HID (Xenon) projectors. I think the beam pattern is set using a metal mask ahead of the bulb. I'm not sure how much of the headlight unit or bulbs need to be changed. If you search on the main board, some people have disassembled their headlight units. You might be able to work out what is involved from the pictures. The cost of replacement could range from
just my 2cents
I would go along with S2000RJ - LHD is absolutely no problem.......on the continent.
Having driven LHD cars quite a bit in UK (Opel/Audi/Alfa) there is a problem of visibility especially for S2000 since you are so much lower on the road - you will see zero if a car is in front of you
- but the main thing it dosen't feel as much fun - I don't know what it is - it just feels strange sitting in the gutter. S2000 is all about fun factor so you need to maximise - not minimise.
