Phil, the dimensions of the C-Spanner for the KW v3 perch adjustment are:
Diameter 76mm (not including the 6mm or so, lug) and throat to lug max (across the widest part of the throat) is 70mm.
It's only about 3mm thick and is pressed from sheet steel so doesnt have to be heavy duty.
I have roughed out the toe and camber to make her drivable and give a few days for the springs etc to settle.
The ride on the 500lb(?) springs is actually quite reasonable, which came as a surprise.
With out of box compression and rebound, and decidely 'iffy' geo, the car still felt more planted even in todays terrible rain.
Pushing the back out is certainly more predicatable, the breakaway is easier to feel and much easier to control.
Cornering forces are subjective, and given the weather I can't yet suggest an improvement. However it's certainly no worse so far.
What's most improved is the braking.
Pulling up is sharper with less squirlyness from the back end under limit braking.
I'll attribute this mainly to the back ride height now being the same as the front.
And, the car now sits at 335mm both ends where before oem stagger brings the rear up to 370 or so, and the front was 355.
The car follows the road contour closely, no more of that vague floaty underdamped sensation on fast A roads.
Another trade of is you also notice the lateral rocking a lot more, almost as you would with stiffer roll bars.
So, so far very pleased, once CG have performed another miracle and the rain stops, we can play properly!
It's nice to have an airfield in the next village
Okay, That very nice Mr Franklin over at Centre Gravity had a day on our car and we came up with this:-
Corner weighting inital value indicated a large cross corner delta of 48KG, which is substantial.
This was even after measuring the ride heights before beginning work.
On completion this was reduced to 2KG, and a cross reading of 49.9 and 50.1% so pretty well balanced then.
TOTAL CAR WEIGHT (182KG ballast - half a tank) was 1356.5KG
After discussing our driving style and requirements for the car we arrived at some very different geometry figures.
This is the big differentiator with CG and other tuners.
Chris has set up something in the region of 300 S2000 now and has logged a lot of feedback as a result.
He knows what works, what doesn't, and what he still doesn't know.
And, this is why I am still happy to pay the very reasonable 'real' <
Have eventually revised the KWv3 bump and rebound more in line with KOBE's posts of a couple years back.
Have arrived at a good allrounder of all Bumps out to 1.5 turns from the supplied 0.75.
Rebound front out to 1.25 and rear out to 2.5 turns.
Front at 1.5 out was still a little floaty at speed to me, the slight 1/4 turn up makes a massive difference on these shocks.
So far and 2K or so miles, no excesive tyre wear patterns or odd traits.
Dead solid, improved grip everywhere, good stable steer-ahead and little sign of the tramlining I had with less camber and less castor, which is excellent news.
M1bjr, have you had any problems with the car bottoming? Ive read hypers post re the exhaust catching on speed humps etc. Woundered how your set up was going as i might follow one day.
Nope, I have never touched the bottom of the car yet.
The trickiest drive was out across London with all stupid ramps in residential areas.
That is one place I would NOT want a lowered daily driver S2000.
The only thing that touches are the plastic air dams in front of the wheels and I'll just take them off.
Main thing to be wary of is parking up to kerbs, where you might have got a kerb under the front lip, now you probably wont.
Nothing metal has been hit yet, but if you do these mods sensibly and think about them you'll have no trouble
I scraped the front bumper on a kerb yesterday in the work car park, but that was as much to do with me forgetting I was driving a car with a long bonnet (instead of the Primera I usually use) than lowering. Other than that sort of thing, I've never had any problem with it being that low.

Has it changed from Moonrock to Silverstone?
