Default ABS Light on

MY ABS light kept coming on intermittently which I hoped was just a gremlin, however its now on all the time.

Is there anyway to find out why it is on?
I changed the front right sensor recently as I replaced the hub and broke the existing one. This is likely the culprit but haven't had chance to get the wheel off to look and the MOT is looming

I doubt you'll see anything that indicates its not working properly. Best bet is to plug it into a good diagnostic tool as it will tell you exactly which one has failed.

Want to check the wire looks ok and hasn't been yanked on full lock.

Or to check for a complete failure find somewhere safe to do some hard braking/skiding to a halt.

Yeah it locks up, quite nasty really as the rear left goes first then it starts to go sideways.

Too much rear bias on these

OK so it looks like a complete failure rather than a sensor, time to go to the workshop manual for troubleshooting, I saw an ABS unit on eBay for a resonable price if it comes to that.

I don't understand your logic there, if 1 sensor fails or the light is on then the whole system shuts down anyway,

AS the OP say's i'd check the one i'd messed with first, could be anything from sensor misaligned to bearing not seated correctly to hub nut not tight

The light seems to stay on now whereas before i could clear it and it would come back a few miles later

Still on this issue with MOT looming, I checked the sensor this weekend and all looks fine. Unplugged it in the engine bay to check for corrosion etc.

Drove it to work today still on. So got hold of a funky Wow Snooper fault code reader which cant read the S2000 ABS codes apparently? Tried the pin 4-9 OBD port short which should flash the ABS codes, again no luck no flashing, just light constantly on.

SO then tried to remove both ABS fuses in the engine bay.

Drove it home and lights still on

Any clues. The last resort is the sensor isnt fully seated but wierd that suddently became an issue?

THanks

I have rather annoying issue where mine comes on at around 115MPH it rather annoying but its not often i go those speeds.

It could be a hub, just and so out a line so dont just check the sensor, check the teeth etc but i guess you have already done this.

My fault code points to offside front and for the life of me cant see what is wrong.

yeah snap on code readers wont work and the paper-clip method etc will not work on UK cars, Honda was cleaver and disabled this to rape you off all your money.
