Default Acceleration noise - What is it?

When i accelerate in all gears except 1st i get a strange noise from the gearbox... or at least that is where i think it is from..

It's difficult to explain but i will give it a go... Its not a violent sound, more of a weak metal grind...

It tends to only happen when i am accelerating from low revs... 1500rpm up to 5000rpm.

Not being technically minded I really cannot figure it out... any ideas?

Oh and as per the comment below... its not the engine im on about!!

Happen at 3.5K, sounds something like a whistling/rattle?

Yeah i think that might be it....

That does not mean it is slipping does it??

I don't lose performance in any way.

Best way to make that disappear.. remove the airbox cover, lower the roof and accelerate above 6k..

Sorry, not much help but i'm sure you'd know if it was anything too serious but best getting another owner out in it as already suggested to put your mind at rest!

no not slipping. it's just a noisey clutch, it does not affect it's performance in any way.

oddly i quite like the little nuances.. the whiney box, the ringy clutch.. makes it feel a bit more raw.
