Default Aftermarket Radiators?

Hi all
I am looking for an aftermarket radiator for my 2004+ S2000 which ones would you guys recommend? I am really looking for a straight replacement so I can still use my SFS coolant pipes I already have :-)

Mishimoto do a good one. Yours for around £300.

There's a few accounts of the mishimoto's failing on s2ki - Koyo seems also quite competitively priced. J's and Mugen do them, as do ASM however the price of those units is considerably higher & there's a distinct lack of information available on why they're £1k.

When I last tried to find out information I found it very frustrating how little info was out there.

It's all relative. A radiator is not simply a radiator. Some weigh less than others (considerably). Some have far higher quality welds. Others use a different method of transferring heat from the inner sections of the core to improve cooling efficiency. Some rads (ASM for instance) has an in-built oil cooler in the bottom to prevent the use of a second, standalone cooler which would invariably weigh more.

I'll happily pay £1k for a rad if the features justify it. But where oh where is there even a hint of a comparison?

The fan on Ian's Mishimoto snapped off for no apparent reason, suggesting there as quality issues.

If you're just after a direct replacement, I can recommend this one from these guys. Identical to the Honda one, and performed perfectly adequately until the car was written off by a HGV. I don't think that can be blamed on the rad though.
