Have trawled many threads after learning that most Cat 1 alarms do not allow for the remote boot release to work.

Question:

- Which alarm(s) allow remote boot release as well (without having to keep 2 remote fobs!)

- of these alarms, "what price and where", any which are a "nightmare" to live with and which are not.

 

I've got a Clifford on my Prelude - one of the 'cheaper' ones - a 300 (still a CAT1). I've got the boot release kit with it and it works fine, one plipper. About

My Honda Cat1 does have remote boot release. It is a bit of a pain but, from locked, you have to unlock, wait for the indicators to go out, and then press unlock again. I havent found a way to pop the boot from an unlocked state tho.

I've got a cat 1 Shurlok system on mine. It does release the boot, but I also have to wait til the alarm is disabled - the disable and boot open functions are on the same button, so it can be a bit of a pain.

I have a G300 on My S2001. It comes with 2 clifford key fobs, so the honda one is now not used. The clifford allows me to open the boot fine with the remote.

the only thing I have to remember is not to open the boot before I unlock the car otherwise it all gets a bit noisey!
