Default Alarm issue

I'm pretty sure that the alarm on my MY05 isn't working currently. I don't get any indicator flash on lock or unlock, and opening either the drivers door or boot with the key doesn't set the alarm off.

I know that both door switches and the boot switch work as the interior/boot light goes off when the respective door is shut. Apart from that, I'm at a loss as to what to check.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Car battery Mike, or is there a back-up that may be on its way out?

Usually car battery in these instances. Then again, if it's starting ok, it's not so likely.

Its unlikely if the car is still turning over and starting but its all I could think of!

Car turns over and starts perfectly - the battery indicator also shows a good battery (blue circle with a red dot).

Any other places to start? Should the indicators flash? Would a faulty bonnet switch cause my symptoms?

When I lock mine using the engine immobiliser fob the indicators flash about 4 or 5 times, if I use the other fob it just locks but doesn't arm the immobiliser or flash the indicators.

I honestly don't know mate, sorry. You could try resetting the alarm??

Have a read of the alarm manual and see if that can shed any light on the issue.

Can you confirm that you can unlock and lock the doors with the key fob?
If so, it sound a like you have a similar issue to myself at least one other member on here. I am trying to get a dry day when I can do further checks, but I think my issue is related to the bonnet pin switch being faulty or broken.

Yep, lock and unlock is fine. It's just very annoying having to listen for the locking noise, as well as not having a working alarm!
