Default alarm issues

as some of you know i've just taken hand of a s2000.. it came fitted with a cobra cat1 alarm&immob, and with a proximity alert too. that is, get to close to the car and it'll beep at you to tell you the car is alarmed.

it's too sensitive. just had light rain here, and it's been beeping every 20secs or so thinking someone is to close to it. also does it with cars driving past. i've found the module where the setup is done (i think/hope). does anyone have a similar annoyance (sorry, feature) on their car and know how to disable it untill i get it tweaked right??
atleast i can still lock and not leave it completely unarmed.

nothing in the owners manual, and i've tried a double lock, and a button A then button B lock (deadlock/disable internal sensors?) but no luck.

Personally I'd permanently disable the proxy sensor.

ive found it more of a pita than a nice feature so far. not a clue on how to disable. i aint even got a clue how it detects objects!!might just turn sensitivity to 'lowest' and see if that fixes.
