Default Alarm, how exactly does it work?

Having trouble figuring out the alarm features. Locking & opening the car using the two buttons works fine but I've no idea what the other things do.

press open (recessed button) after opening makes the indicators falsh twice quickly, sometimes it makes the interior light go out. No idea how to get the boot release to work.

I guess there are different setups as some people don't have the original alarm (i.e. have the three button remote with grey buttons) but I have the two button security remote.

When I lock the car it flashes 4 times. When I open it flashes once but for about a second.

Anyone else figured it out?

Drac, this has been discussed a few times before. A more recent one by Pete is quite informative and will hopefully answer your questions ...

Just in case you don't have the manual, I did scan and convert it into an Adobe Acrobat file. The manual is available at the following URL:

If that doesn't work, PM me with your reply E-mail address.

I guess the short answer is that it does what it feels like at the time

If you throw a breeze block through your window the alarm should make a loud wailing sound
