I am finding when I change from full throttle in fourth up to fifth and accelerating (on private roads of course) the back wheels start spinning, wouldn't fancy that on a wet road.

Look at dyno plots to show power and torque change at VTEC crossover, it is quite impressive but quite scary when you try and think what the car will be doing on a wet road, especially if going round a corner at the same time

Green torque, Red power.

95 mph, straight line, well into the zone.

Back end squirmed left then right but i managed to collect things.

I think it was due to a mixture of a damp road, uneven road surface and driver over exuberance.

Lesson learnt.
Its just as well you were on track at the time

90 mph in the wet-sliding-the car is merely wiping it's feet

Went out for a spin at lunch and almost totaled it waiting at a set of traffic lights.

Had a sudden sideways motion at about 40 earlier on a very sodden b road. Was cruising in 5th, so after that i overtook the slow person infront, and stayed low gear high revs and drove it like i was on the track. Sure it twitched about more, but at least i was ready for it!
