another bites the dust :(
12 years of glorious ownership has come to an abrupt end. A case of too much enthusiasm and not enough talent!!. Which is especially annoying as in the early days I drove it in all conditions on SO2's without any problems and its not as if I am novice in it. I guess I got complacent!!
Car drives just as it did ,I drove it 60 miles home and no issue but comes down to a lot of damaged body work. A bit sad, could have been worse. I didn't trash another other car, hurt myself or damage a rather valuable item in the boot.
But it is the end of an era. Heart says get an other, head says at max 2000 miles a year of mostly motorway and dc riving, living on the street and with kids, it doesn't make a lot of sense.
That said a lot of good memories. Kids are more gutted than me!

Gutted, I'm sure there's a quote about the S2000 from Mr Graves, ah yes, managed to find it ....
"the S2000 is like a disciplinarian teacher, the minute it catches you looking out of the window in class it WILL chuck the board rubber at your head"
Pleased you're OK and nobody else was involved.
P.S. Get another one, you'll feel old if you don't

RE050 A'a on the back and RE002 on front's. pressures checked 2 days before. One thing about doing 2000 miles pa, tyres last a while! I did get some warning, just wasn't on the ball enough, then when the tyres bit had too much opposite lock and was going sideways/forwards down the road
Anyway I was looking at a lot of work come August so with the pay out and saving on that work I should be able buy a good nick 02-03 and whilst buying a 15-16 yr old car is scary, I at least know whats likely to need going and the cost, which is likely a lot cheaper than keeping a 10 yr old Bavarian on the road!
Summer values are interesting. I had an agreed value which I did in Jan an using same measures prices are up by about £750-1000... not that I will see that!

I've got a set of four 'new' RE050As in the loft and they must be as hard as coal by now, which probably tells you something.
Probably not betht of friendth with RE002s, either.
Next time, please try to remember to let go of the wheel...

Sorry to hear, glad that you are okay though.
I lost my first S2000 last year and replacing it with the same took some adjusting, especially since I had the previous one for a number of years.
It's taken me almost a year to start enjoying the new one and making it my own.
No regrets buying it again, even for a 15 year old car - be prepared to splash out to get it in top nick again!
