Another clutch thread
Last year I thought the feel of my clutch had changed slightly: the biting point was further down and the first part of travel was slightly loose - not flapping about, but the resistance didn't start until about an inch further in than before. I checked the fluid, which looked black and was slightly low, so topped it up. As I had an MOT due I asked the garage to check the clutch and replace the fluid just to see if that made a difference. They of course ignored me, and just said there was nothing wrong with it.
And this is how it stayed, until yesterday when it suddenly got worse. The symptoms are exactly the same, except the biting point is now at the bottom and the resistance starts about half way down. The fluid is still up to the max, so it can't be a leak, and presumably can't be the footwell adjustment I hear so much about as otherwise it would be loose.
Any thoughts?
