Ok then I'm a numpty, believe it or not they were originally fitted on the AP1 I had with 255 rears, but I changed to oems as I found the 17's too harsh on our backroads, I figured 245's were worth a punt.

So....if anyone knows where I might source 2 bronze Team 5zeigen 8.5 alloys, kindly point me in the direction!

@GC Never managed posting pics online but if anyone's on whatsapp and wants to hit me up with a pm, I'm more than happy to be suitably shamed.
Love the JPS colour combo as mine is black with red leather, minty clean 80k miler with HT and as the calipers and cam cover have just been painted shes looking schweeet!

I wouldn't have said your a muppet at the end of the day if the tyre fitter had being doing his job correctly he would have pointed out that it is not recommended to fit a 245 on a 7inch rim and refused to fit it, the same with the stretched tyres that seem to be popular at the moment wheel and tyre manufactures have recommended size's, the last man in the line is the fitter and should refuse to fit them then you wouldn't have being at the point you are now if he had,

I assumed he had been able to fit them himself. If a professional organisation had fitted 245 to a 7" they should be shot.

Where were the tyres fitted OP?

Cheers Dave he's a friend and was really just doing what I asked so wouldn't hold that against him, much like some of the Driving gods and John Eales' of this parish he likely thinks I'm a bit of an ejit anyway

Fcuk you very much for the condescending cyber pat on the head there rich, arguably deserved so I before the first person in history who's never had an arse twitching moment in an S2K or asked a stupid question....

Here's what I think is happening, if it helps (note, the pictures are limited by thre angles of the / and \ keyboard symbols
  1. When the correct size tyres are fitted to the wheels, the profile looks like this: |__|
  2. If you are one of those people who fits extra wide wheels for a "stance/hellaflush" look you have this: \__/
  3. In this case, the OP has this: /__\
When going round a corner, the equivalents would be:
  1. /__/
  2. |___̷
  3. ̷__̷
I think this illustrates quite nicely why the OPs car feels wobbly.

Cheers LG, that illustrates it perfectly and I should add I've been driving like miss daisy since the change as I'm hoping to keep this one out of a hedge and hopefully it's a keeper, have a Z for any hoon requirements.

So looks like it will be a challenge to find larger ones as they seem to have been discontinued (I may be wrong on that....) but they don't seem to come in .5's so 8 or 9 if I can find them?
