Arch Rust...
I would try using a compound or a harsh polish and really rub at it. I'd say alot if the orange could just be staining from rusty water so some of it could come off.. Even give it a rub down with some wet and dry. If your going to paint it I would get a color match tin from halfords and paint it with that
It needs cut out. And you'll be surprised at how much metal needs to be cut out, replaced and resprayed.
Talking from experience here. I've had both sides re-done - lower and upper arches.
The boy had to do it again for me as it rusted up within 4 months after work.
I think I'm going to get more work done next year. Real pain in the ass.

Crap isn't it? Bloody Honda for a) not making their cars better, and b) not making the rear wings a bolt on part.
At least mine's a 99; I feel sorry for anyone already having rust issues on a 2005.

I would recommend bilt hamber rust products over waxoyl.
Look at deox-gel to remove rust, hydrate 80 to convert remains, then dynax UB to cover and throw away the rubber lips. You can apply UB (under body) to the lip and it dries like you have strips on. Use masking tape to get a straight edge.
This is only for rusty lips. If its beyond the lip its from the inside coming through.

My 52 has rust on both rear arches now. The local bodyshop actually refused to fix it, because arch replacements aren't available.
Annoying. What am I meant to do? Just seems like my options are temporary fix or leave it. The rubber strips are still on in place, but if I remove them it'll look pants due to the amount of rust :/
