Bi-wire Speaker cable
I've been trying to route 14AWG (2.5mm) biwire speaker cable through to the passenger door today but have run into a few problems. The ECU is in the way which on most cars wouldn't be a problem except for some reason Honda decided in their infinite wisdom to use triangular bolts which are nigh on impossible to remove without the special tool.
It took me long enough to get the driver side done and this now looks comparatively easy.
Has anyone been able to feed the wire through the grommet without removing the ECU?
Cheers
Kev

Its possible to do without removing the ECU, as I would have given up if that were the case.
I managed to run new speaker wire from my amp in the boot into the doors. I certanly didnt have to remove the ECU.
It was a while ago, but I'm sure I just lubed up the cable with washing up liquid and pushed it through. The cable was thick enough to make it all the way into the door. I think I may have just unplugged it to get the cables out the way.
If you are really stuck I'll pop the trim off and take a look again for you.

I finally managed it after several attempts today
It's now all wired up and it does work although I ran out of light before being able to get the seats installed. It seems the trick to getting the wire through the door is to spray some silicone at the boot to make it a bit more compliant. I had several failed efforts before that where the coat hanger just pulled through without taking the wire with it.
It's all done now, I just need to take a few photos of the install, get the seats in and go for a spin to test it out...
