Default Bloody pheasant!

Well, I'm at my sister's for a few days (she lives in the countryside, in the middle of nowhere). She popped out of the house for a smoke, and comes back in to say she heard a banging noise, like a tapping. She thought the latch on the gate was rattling, went round to see and said there was this pheasant pecking at my S!

She shoooed it away, but said it was really attacking my car! Have had a look today and there are definitely scratches, just behind the front wheel arch. About 20 separate marks. Blasted bird. I don't think it's dented, so hopefully something T-cut or Tangoman can sort, but honestly, the cheek of it!

I've hit a pheasant quite a few years ago (not in the S) and ended up having a permanent dent in the bonnet when it's head hit the car. But I've never heard of a bird taking issue with a car in this way. Wierd.

Oh well, thought I'd share it with you!

Dini.

It means your car is shiny.... It sees it's reflection.

Bad luck Dini - hope the damage isn't too bad ....

If Gaspode's theory is correct, which I am inclined to agree with, the pheasant would have an all out battle with Guiness' car as his OCD seems to be getting worse, and his new car shinier by the week!

Yes, I can imagine! I don't think it's that bad. Got MOT shortly and car tax, so kind of want to forget about it. I ran my finger over it and you can feel the scratches, but I don't think they're that visible.

Our chickens peck the dead flies off my Exige.

The limit came when they started roosting on the wingmirrors.....

There is a product you can buy that stops Pheasants doing this sort of thing
You can get it form either Browning or Baretta.... I have one of the Browning versions and it works very well indeed

This reminds me of the famous peacock v berlina thread

From my recollection, It ended up in a full respray needed.

Not a panel was left unscathed

All I'll say is that Dinibirds are not that stupid. They tend to look in mirrors for their reflection, and only attack it when having a BAD day! ;-)

I came out of the house one morning earlier this year to find a fox sat on the soft top sh!tting all over the back window, fox poo smells like nothing else on earth!

When he saw me he used the bonnet as his exit route and slipped when halfway down carving nice groves in the paint as he fell off!
