Default Boot spring release

Anyone know how to make the "spring mechanism" open the boot further. I have seen some where they open the minimum (about an inch like mine) and some that spring open a fair bit more.

Presumably by bending or twisting the rods to put a bit more life into the spring release.

Possible?

Or the various OEM spoilers have different springs to counter the weight of the spoiler.

You can get the uprated springs (if you have a spoiler) from Honda.

You won't be able to twist them any further...it's hard enough to get them in place as it is.

Unless you want to re-enact the Ford Ka Pigeon advert, what is the point?

Just like it to open as fully as possible and thought there may be a way to add some tension to the rods so they open it a bit more.

If it's windy and the boot opens a lot the wind may catch the boot lid and bend something?

Are they correctly positioned? The Prelude's work their way out and ping off the plastic tensioner clip in the middle and appear weak.

Gemmying them properly home & reconnecting the clip fixes it. The Prelude has the optional spoiler, too.

I fitted something similar to the boot of my brother's mk1 MX5 as it had a boot rack on it, but can't find the link anywhere - sorry
