I see your point and was well aware before hand.
I read into it and allegedly it does affect the cooling efficiency but not nearly as much as people think, the coating is a fraction of 1mm.
Either way I've given up on the idea :/

Why dont you just have the end tanks done? Thats what I ended up doing when I had my Rad powdercoated.

That's tidy, I like it.
Someone at work said that but I wasn't sure, now I've seen it I can conclude it looks alright

Decided I'll stick to getting the thing running first though, doesn't mean a thing if it doesn't work!

EDIT: Forget the below, already covered!! Just thinking out loud, how much of a rad do you see in an engine bay? Just the top tank, right? Maybe you could get the top and bottom tanks anodised (for the sake of symmetry) but leave the bars and fins as they are?
