Paid the customs on my sump, £46
It arrives Friday.
The exhaust place are shutting up for Xmas so it's an early new year job now.
These little set backs are upsetting but are a part of life.
I ought to get onto the paint guy to set a date otherwise I'll be suffering another set back!!

Sump is here! Though it looks like it'll hang a smidge lower than standard, which was borderline too low .. we'll see when it's on the car
At worst I'll just have to raise the engine a little and have a slightly more prominent bulge

So you are quite happy to stick a v8 in your car but don't want to fab up an exhaust?

I'd rather pay someone to do a proper job of the manifolds and make them look nice instead of farting around and producing sub-standard quality manifolds.
I don't feel confident that I could do the manifolds justice. Had I a bit more experience and the gear to do it then sure I'd give it a bash.
For now I'll stick to the simple stuff

Carl said he was possibly fitting the sump yesterday or today, then it can go to the exhaust place.
I'm sure he'll clarify this whenever he checks this thread.

Looolllllllll
Just so you all know, I'm drunk right now!
Right! If I can be arsed I'm off to fit to fit the sump within the next couple of days I will.
I've been busy getting the 328i BMW ready for the road once my ban (I was banned for 6 months under the 12 points totting thing) I'm a bad person I know.
I'm back on the road from the 9th January, can't wait!!
I'll be a lot more tame, I'll also book a lot more drift and track days.

But yes current v8 progress is the sump needs swapping (I have the new one ready to go on) the the subframe can be put on then sent to exhaust place for manifolds, then take it all out for paint in the engine bay, then back in and fuel and wiring.
Then I want to toughen up the differential, I really don't think the standard S2 diff will take the extra torque and power.
Allegedly the supra diff can handle 1000bhp.
I'm in the 500-600bhp area so as long as it can take that I'm happy.

Pics and updates as and when guys, it's slow because of the time of the year.

Hope you guys have all had a good one!! Stay safe for next year too.
Hope to meet a few more of your next year too!
Get yourselves to modified nationals! I think that's the first show I'll be doing as a v8 S2, S2ki had a stand last year which I was on, have another this year guys

Wow - seeing the pictures made my hair stand on end.

That is going to be some really awsome machine.

I can almost hear the burble of the V8 already

Well done Carl and friends

The Viper diff can also take ridiculous torque and with decent ratios.. popular amongst other car's LS swaps in the UK.
