Wrestled with the fuel line today.
Only got about an hours work in due to being on nights and having more pressing matters to attend to before hand.

I've got it routed from the fuel rail back to near where the charcoal canister and stuff used to be.
I found it a nightmare cutting it to a state where I could get the collar part of the fitting over the braid which tended to flare out during the cutting process.

Wrapped it in tape whilst cutting with a slitting disc but struggled to get the collar over again.

Eventually somehow managed it.
Any handy hints or tips would be appreciated as it took me a while to do one nicely, got 3 more to do.

The Cad drawings of the sump have been sent off, the weld on an10 fittings have arrived as has the magnetic sump plug. Can't wait to have a crack at putting it together!!

I did the same with mine,I ended up throwing them all away and replacing them with ptfe hose and fittings.I could have supplied you with -6 and -8 full length hoses which don't leak and a Fullblown twin 340 pump setup and you would have been ready to go fuel system wise

Don't make me cry
I really want your twin pump set up!
I've got no problem fitting them together once the collar is on, it's just getting the collar past the splayed out steel braid.
Going to do a spot of googling in a bit.
Have you got stealth fittings?

Yes,I've also got some things I bought off Demon tweeks to help feeding the braided hoses into the joints,They were around £70 for 3 for -6,-8,-10 I think,I'll have a look around for them tomorrow if you like and you can use them if you pay the postage both ways let me know ASAP if you want them, I've got to tax the wife's car tomorrow so I can post them out to you.Pm me your address.

This may be a daft question... Can the collar go on and be positioned behind the cut line prior to cutting?

It could before the first cut, but because I've made one I have to now deal with it, seems like Mr Pitts has come to the rescue though! I'll post some pics

Carl these are the offending items, they are not the be all and end all but you can see how they work. They are actually -4,-6,-8, not -10 as I thought.

And sir if you want me to send them out to you I need your address.

I think the camera lens needs cleaning on my ipad
