I think the only issue you are really coing to have is the amount of torque from zero rpm.At the moment my car is putting out 508 hp and 330tq but that wont be staying there.

You will certainly have to treat it with respect but appart from the low rpm torque the power is quite manageable.Having said that I wouldnt like to boost it on wet or slippery roads.

In the early 80s I built a Dutton with a tuned 3.0 ford v6 motor in it, it would do 75 in 5 seconds and was a brute in the wet.Everything on that car was basic and crude compared to what we have got available today but you need to cut the cloth to suit.

Imagine putting a 20 year old im my car and telling him it will do 200 mph, as soon as he is out of earshot his total object in life will be to do 200.That doesnt matter if the conditions are suitable or not.....I know this because I was the same with bikes, the fireblade being one in particular.

Most of the beasts that are crashed are done so by somebody other than the owner, I dont know about the tagiwa one.

Build it, drive it for a bit and then sell it to me.
Unfortunately for you bud selling it is not an option. Never.
Not even for a house deposit, of which I'd quite like to have haha

Bullshit! You said you'd think about selling it for an FT1!

S2000s are a bit of a PIA in snow, and they generate minimal torque.

What you will have is a TVR that ate all the pies, and it will be far worse than that.

But what you're doing is not to build a better car (almost impossible, since you don't have access to Honda's extensive R&D facilities) but to build your own creation for the hell of it and because you can.

Get a Legend if you wanna fuck about in snow. They look stupid fun in drifts.

there are a few people pushing similar power to your NA engine in the tuned / FI area so I would not see your power as being unheard of.

just respect the car for what it is and you should be fine.

did i mention Respect is key here ??
My engine is supercharged giving it almost 50% more power to around 580bhp 600tq

I will do my best to respect the car. I behave on the roads anyway, the police seem to love pulling me over.
I had one pull me in the S2 because he thought I'd nicked it in the basis of I look too young to own one!

75 in 5 seconds!?!?
There's only one other person who I'll trust to drive the car, he's insured to, owns a 700bhp Awd Mazda 3 mps which is turbo and supercharged with a fully built engine with meth.

He also has the funds to buy an S2 and then complete a full v8 swap.

He is also a very good driver, so much so that I lent him the S2 for a month when he had no car and I was serving my ban.

Don't let anyone drive it, simple.

Nobody drives mine.

Nobody ever drove my 306, and that was a 1.4 - far too many quirks and bits to be wary off to even bother letting anyone have a play!

I've neglected this thread a little, couple of updates!

It was pay day the other day, so I whittled down the list of bits to buy quite drastically ..
710 series omex Ecu, harness and various sensors
The piping for the fuel system, all the fittings and the vice jaws and ally spanner to go with them
Two weld on stainless AN10 fittings and generic magnetic sump plug (in black of course)
I'm making my own sump from scratch as it'll be cheaper than importing again, also I'd like to see if I can manage it!
I've drawn out the net on cad and need to send it off to be laser cut then I'll piece it together and weld away! This way I regain my clearance and still get to keep a good amount of oil.
I'll be going remote filter as it's easier to make the sump then and seeing as I have a remote filter I may as well have an oil cooler.
Thoughts on this?

Brakes and clutch have been bled so I can now take it off the transport truck with a good level of control instead of it rolling straight off into the ground. (Truck man's winch broke, wasn't happy but had a good check over and no damage, no charge for moving the car either)

Air filter has arrived, and does not fit. It's 356mm in length!
Not sure if I'm going to chop it down a little (50mm tops) and reseal it with a new cap and tiger seal, or try snake it round with some more pipe work and squeeze it in. Feeling the chopping and capping it idea more.

Radiator has new slim fans on!
The 6pot brakes are on the front, braided lines all round.

Need to remove the gear stick and bend it back a little, when in 5th and reverse the gear knob has just enough clearance from the dash for my hand, I'd like to increase it.

Going to try and get the fuel lines in some point next week and solve the air filter issue.
Sump needs fitting ASAP too.

Once those things are done it's off back to work where I have the gear to install the bonnet catches and finish the coolant lines.
Couple of brackets need making too.

Anyone have a custom coolant overflow tank that looks nice? standard one looks ugly!!

Think that's all for now, you know what I'm saying??
