A quick sketch up of an idea I've had which will help the installation process.
Sliding engine mounts.
With this the engine can be positioned exactly where needed and then secured down.
Also if adjustment is need further down the line the mounting point doesnt need to be cut out, it simlpy unbolts/slackens.
If required a new bracket could be made if the engine's height need adjusting.

I've got a lot of info from these guys: www.v8s2000.com
Infact the tegiwa/Luke's built car is on there: http://www.v8s2000.com/forums/showth...uild-in-Europe
You can see where I got my exhaust from now
Measurements vary from build to build as they all tend to do things a little differently which is great as it allows you to pick and choose what'd suit you best and some of the guys have some pretty nifty ideas.
The removal of the cross member is straight forward, the supports from the frame rails to the trans tunnel is a grey area though, I've cut back a little more than most people seem to have, just to be safe.
The real measurement/offering up comes into play when fitting the engine, as I already have a prop made up it's nearly all bolt in minus the front mounts for the engine but they'll pretty much go where they go as the prop, gearbox and engine are all fixed lengths.
As far as I'm aware the external size of the Ls2 is exactly the same as the Ls1.
You'll know about it on this thread if not

Graced by the presence of the man who did it first!
I feel honoured!
I'd be over the moon if my build turns out only half as good as yours Xyster, the only reason this is happening is because of you
