Thanks
This where we are at the start of today:

Subframe roll bar and bottom arms have been dropped away.
Box needs attaching to block
Lining up with the car, lower the car onto the engine and box!

Smack the tranny's tunnel with a big hammer if needed .... Ooer!

I think the Frontera needs those exhausts as standard

Haha, you're fitting a car to an engine, novel way round!

you don't need rubber mounts for a V8. 4 cylinders and less have a lot of vibration due to the amount of angle the crank turns before the next cylinder fires. (yes i have driven a V8 solid mounted engined car and yes you can 'feel' the engine but there was no vibration)

mounting it solid will also use the engine as part of the strength of the chassis

It's in! In 1.5 attempts too!

Phone is currently on charge but I'll get some pics up in a bit
Bonnet does close but the charger and it's drive pulley are touching so a slight 10-20mm bulge is needed, nothing horrendous like I was worried about though

Waiting on my rear drop sump to arrive from the states, tracking says it's been in Scotland since Monday, not had a letter asking for import tax yet though, going to ring the customs office tomorrow.
