Default Burning oil at low revs/pulling off

Hello I'm new to this forum so apologies if this is the wrong section. I have an ap1 2001, When my car has warmed up to temperature I will be sat at the lights and as soon as I pull off there is a big blue cloud of smoke coming from the exhaust, it continues at low revs just not as thick as when I've been sat at idle and then pull away, it also happens at low speeds after i downshift. There is no smoke at higher revs just at low revs when I'm stuck in traffic for example, it only happens when the car is warm not when it is first started up, any help would be much appreciated!

My old car used to do it when sat on a alight incline (for example, when getting out to open the garage door).

It was worse when the oil level was very high.

Is the oil level above normal and what kind of oil are you using?
Sounds like you are pulling excessive oil in from the PCV.
You could try and disconnect it from the manifold just as a test, make sure you cap of the intake manifold fitting though.
Long term solution would be to connect a catch can in between.

I'm using mobil 0/40w and I just disconnected the pcv from the manifold and capped it and it is still smoking, the oil is halfway up the dipstick markings

Sounds like good excuse to keep revs up,beyond 6k

seriously try a heavier oil as well , 0/40 is a bit thin especially for pre 04 lumps. For some, mysterious reason. Sons F20c now in bits in the shed , we found all stem seals split at around 90 k miles

pre 04 cars will often use up to 1l per 1000 miles . Mine was checked twice for oil consumption when it had done 6k miles about 15 years ago and,was prounouced ok by Honda , not changed since and now done 80k miles

last weekend on a 200 mile round trip to silverstone it used about 1.5 x,s on the dip stick , and, certainly wasn't hanging around saw the red line quite often . I Never let it go lower than that , I change oil and filter every 3000 miles regardless.
