Default Bush outer shells

Do s2000 arms have them, and do they need to be removed when polybushing?

I can see the caster bush does, but I can't see clearly for all the others?

I had to remove them all (except master bush) on my prelude and would assume the same on the s2000, but I can't see a mention of it on the specific threads?

Cheers

Cheers that's what I had to do on the prelude. Time in spend more on a decent hacksaw!

Did you fit a poly caster bush?

Nope doing the rear as is the problem area atm ie:were broken from previous person/s=o/s/r toe arm,all the geo at rear out of spec hence the need for rear poly only
not sure about the outer ring on caster btw..could measure with vernia perhaps,
poly bushing the rear trailing arm on the civic ect have to use the outer ring though.

Yes the S2000 arms have outer shells.
Some type of poly bushes still needs them though, like the energy suspension bushes for the lower arms.
If you do want them out use a hydraulic press, makes the job really easy.
The powerflex caster bushing needs a press to fit as well.

Yup, using a press is the best way on these there's not enough room to get a hacksaw blade in there unless you do the "burn the rubber away with a blow torch" method - which is just messy and cancer-inducing.

Yep, tried drills, hole saws, hacksaws, etc and wish that I'd just gone and borrowed the use of my mates bearing press in the first place the holesaw just made the rubber melt, go gooey and gum up the teeth and the drills catch on the metal and just snap.

I've had it confirmed by Strongflex's technical department that All out shells need to be removed, including the caster.

I think I will still double check, by sizing up the Bush before I start hacking them out!

Can anyone confirm if the upper arms even have outer shells?
