[attachment=45505:image.jpg]the coil pack cover before painting, was a right pain masking all the letters and to be honest didn t really need to as the machine I used to re cut the letters would have taken the paint straight off but helped keep things clean.

For anyone thats refurbing the coil pack cover, its much easier to spray the whole thing first, Then use a wooden block with sandpaper over the letters.

Saves a lot of masking.

Different strokes for different folks .masking it saved clogging up the sand paper mind .

VHT Plus was used but I used white high temp paint underneath as a type of primer not sure it it helped but to be fair the wrinkle look very good .only problem was it didn t fit in the oven to heat it as per can destruction so I guess it will heat up when fitted.

Haha same issue as me, Cam cover was just a touch too big for the oven.

Plus the old man was a tad concerned as to why I was baking an engine part

I didn't prime mine so that might be why it didn't work too well

I did my spare one at the weekend. Took ages to clean it up & mask off all the holes. The spraying didn't go well after all that so I think I may go for a non-crinkle finish.
