Default Carpark dent

After having reset the ECU this afternoon, I went for a spin then to the supermarket with my wife to do some shopping, careful parking in the far side of the carpark.

After 20 minutes we came back to find a car next to the S and a sodding great big dent just passed the door join on the passenger wing. Waited around for 20 minutes for the owner to no avail, so I took plenty of pictures and am about to visit the local police station to report and get an incident number.

Left a polite but firm note on the windscreen of the car stating that I would be persuing the matter first via a report to the police then a claim via my insurers.

Any idea whether I'll have much chance of getting this repaired via a claim against their insurers?

Really not happy. almost 4 years of ownership and this is the first time it has happened.

Without question, the radius of their door opened directly onto the dent.

Hope your pics are detailed enough to prove that. Otherwise you'll get nowhere.
You should have sent the missus home in a taxi.

Well I've taken 15 or so pictures. I'm going to get an incident number anyway and hope the owner of said vehicle bottles it and confesses.

Otherwise new wing for me.....

It's a nightmare parking in supermarkets. I parked on an angle over two spaces when I went to Sainsbury's yesterday.

Why do people park next to you when you park at the far end of a car park when there are plenty of other spaces around?

I'd be surprised if you do get anywhere trying to claim from his insurance.
