Carpark dent
it's one of life's mysteries
had a similar experience yesterday, returning to find about a 6" gap between my car and the next
but try as I might, I couldn't find a dent
so fair play, they must have shielded the door when getting out
but why park there?

Sorry to hear about this MunkeyBoy.
Your wifes statement should be enough to prove that the dent was not there when she got out of the car at the supermarket.
If the police say you need more evidence then it might be worth asking if the supermarket have any CCTV footage. It's a long shot, but might be worthwhile. I doubt they'd let you have/see it, but they might pass it onto the police.
At least you did the right thing and take a load of photos to help your case. Not a lot else you can do.

I had bad experience before as well, So i share your PAIN
. I would never park s2000 in Sainsbury, tesco or Asda car park, parking space is tight, so always drive my other honda jazz instead.
However, if i am forced to park in these dodgy car park, i will park beside a nice car instead, i bet they dont want a dent any more than we do
rather than a far side of car park. Hope that helps

However my wife is a solicitor and will make a statement if necessary so I'm hoping this might add some gravitas to my case.
I also gave the police plenty of photos from all angles, including the name of supermarket etc
To be honest there are a few small chips in the wing anyway, so a replacement wouldn't be such a bad thing. Any idea how much a new wing and paint match will cost?
That is so annoying and good luck with your claim/pursuit.
I got a small dent the day I picked up my second S2000 (another people mover), so you have my sympathy.
There must be some use for a website linked to satnav that identifies the best parking slots in every car park...

i share your pain also but have to take the blame, i was in a hurry to get out in the car last week, opened the garage door, which caught on the aerial of a getto blaster i have high up on the shelf in the garage. this caused the getto blaster to fall off the shelf and leave to dents on the S2000, one on the door and one on the wing. damn and blast. need a bodyshop now to sort me out.

It's a nightmare parking in supermarkets. I parked on an angle over two spaces when I went to Sainsbury's yesterday.
across two spaces will antagonise some people into parking very close to you
on purpose.
To most shoppers its just a funny looking MX5 thingy and they wont give a
f***.
Russ.
