For those of us suffering what I suspect are more minor dents than that incured suffered by Munkeyboy I heartily reccomend sourcing a well trained mobile franchise dent removal company.

Yesterday afternoon a local operative took 10 mintes to completely & invisibly remove two small adjacent dents from my regular car not the S2000, caused I think by a cyclist. Magical is the only word there is, not a trace of the damage. A year ago the same guy removed 2 larger dents from my MX-5, again impssible to detect where they were.

He had just come from a mate who had some old git in a DIY car park bash a trolley into the reverse curves of the vertical boot panel of his Vectra. Outcome a huge improvement, almost invisible, just a hint of a bubble where metal got stretched due to complexity in blending the body into the curvature.

If the paintwork has been damaged then yes maybe a re-spary or again one of the many mobile paint repair companies you see advertised.

For those living in the Worthing/Brighton area am happy to pass n my dent man contact details.

Hope this helps

It's a dent and paint scrape, half way down on the far right of the passenger wing as you look at it. As there are an number of paint chips from before I bought it now is a good time for a proper respray.

The place I've booked in will respray and match in the colour half way down the wing and door on both sides.

Why do people park next to you when you park at the far end of a car park when there are plenty of other spaces around?

I'd be surprised if you do get anywhere trying to claim from his insurance.
I am SURE it is sheep mentality.

I can be sat, on my own, on a 100 acre reservoir, minding my own business, fishing away, no one else on the place.

Then some weapon will turn up, and fish either across from me, or next to me.

You could easily get 100 anglers on such a place, and not see them - but no, they come up and sit directly by you.

Same tools will park next to you, in the far corner of an empty car park.

Always seems to be the Chav transport of choice - Vauxhall Corsa

Got a minor ding a year or so ago from the same model pile of sh*t from emanating from Luton.

My wife just bought a 2 year old Astra.

Turned out it was owned previously by a proffessional, single woman in her 30's(we know 'cos in the log book was her cousins name!). Very much non-chav.

Anyway, the car was in great condition apart form one thing:

On each door, right down the trailing edge, all the paint is chipped off where her and an oblivious passenger have been happily whacking their doors into parked cars in Tesco's carpark for the best part of 2 years...

So, looks like anyone who doesn't really give a toss about cars is a potential suspect. I'd stick with the method of parking next to, or in between 2, nice cars.
