Not a good reference lap. Nackered R888 and a nackered engine I was getting coolant sprayed up the window as the Hg had gone (it went pop a week later at Oulton)

I know at somewhere like Rockinham the difference between my engine with HG gone and not gone, plus decent rubber is about 4 seconds so I'd expect to lop off 3-4 seconds at Combe with some practice.

2nd or 3rd for me.

It was more fun in 2nd gear, and I was able to accelerate out faster. In 3rd I was out of Vtec, so it felt slower, but the extra change going in and out probably evened it out!

In the wet I would be in 3rd for definite!

Combe is my local track and have done it a number of times, admittedly only once in the S2k. Great track, I used 3rd for Bobby and 2nd for Essess

As MB said earlier, take Avon Rise into Quarry nice an easy until you've "cracked it," otherwise it can get expensive quickly!

Hoping my track car will be finished by the end of the month as we're booked in 25th iirc

Is me driving at japfest a few years back, its a great track, but found it to cook my brakes (may notice some juddering / vibration on braking with that video at certain points), but that was on a very warm day.
Excellent fun though

Whats the best idea to control the brakes not over heating?

Use a decent fluid, don't stay out too long, do a call down lap.
And don't leave the handbrake on when you come in.
