Thanks for the tip too, Ben. Did some research and noticed someone suggesting leaving the harness attached too. Sounds like a good idea given the hassle incurred if you drop anything inside the manifold

Fun and games! Just replaced all the seals and tried again... still fuel everywhere. So much so that its collecting in recesses around that injector so the cars still off the road. The leak doesn't appear to be coming from the top of the injector but more like half way down, where the harness sits.

Is it possible that the injector is cracked? I've not noticed a misfire but I did wonder whether the fuel wasn't being burnt off and forced back out of the lower seal, but I'm not sure that makes sense.



You can see fuel spilling down over the top of the lower seal and flowing down left and right of the cast aluminium below it.


EDIT

Swapped 1 & 4 around so I could see the injector in question more easily and it appears the fuel is specifically leaking out of this place here (IGNORE TORN O-RING - illustration purposes only)




Anyone had this before?
