I got a warning. What a pratt. He wasn't even 6 foot, the jumped up little berk. I think he was trying to impress his boss (who turned away when he heard what speed I was doing).

Anyway, I've learned my lesson. Honestly, I'd sell the car and buy a pushbike but I fear it might go faster than 32!

Okay, so I was over the speed limit. No excuse. Illegal.

Saw the radar, stopped as requested.

"32. Really?" I said
"The 30mph sign was 400 yards back", he says
"400. Right."

No traffic, no kids, no houses, no nothing. 2mph over the limit.

I should have been given a medal, FFS.

ACPO guidelines are speed limit plus 10% plus 2mph, from memory.

Which means that, in a 30 zone, they'll usually let it go unless you're doing 35mph+

Too much time on his hands, by the sounds of things!

You can do over 30 on a bike.. I was doing 36 last week on Quiet country back lane (down hill) .although most lanes are 60 limit I believe.. which is kind of dangerous...

Isn't this the same island that has folk routinely falling out of the pubs into their cars come chucking out time?
