You should be able to hear it stopping from outside the car, a short 2 second noise like air being released.

if you can't hear it cut out, that may well be your problem, that it's not starting in the first place.

You need to make sure it definately isn't working and then make sure isn't a relay or something.

It's not uncommon for one to break.

IIRC you can pull off a hose and see if it's blowing air during startup - without having an S in front of me I cant remember the pipe routing though!

Maybe when Tango comes round you can hear his when he starts the car. It will only work if the engine is cold though.

It may be that the Spoon / Mugen ECU doensn't use the air pump (can't remember) but might not explain your misfire when using the Mugen.

Why did you swap from a Spoon to a Mugen anyway? Same thing pretty much, in fact i'd prefer the Spoon personally!

The Mugen ecu will give you a decent improvement in mid range if you also have a Mugen manifold.

Okay, Spoken with Jorge, he says you should definitely not run it if the light is flashing rapidly. I've PM'd you his phone number, give him a call and see what he can do.
