The Mugen ECU definitely disables the air pump.

I would not have thought so. I was just confirming what Mark suspected regarding the Mugen ECU and air pump.

It could but one of the codes you listed was air pump related so you may have 2 problems.

The misfire should be unrelated.

As i said a long time ago, there is a guide in my signature for misfires. Injectors / coil packs / plugs are normally the best starting point.

Chris, ta for the info

i agree with MB you may have 2 problems? as you dont hear the air pump activate and deactivate from cold. and the air pump may well have packed in if the ecu disengages the air pump as its not used. i had my air pump replaced not so long ago and was told its not needed any way? (not sure how true that is though) but had it replaced to get rid of the cell, could also be a fuse or relay for the air pump?

hope you get it sorted asap
