Default CEL after oil change

thrown a cel after an oil change, i am going to reset ecu shortly and see if it goes away. if not i'll get a code reader, any recommendations which is best? Geniscan gs300? Scanguage seems to cause as many problems as benefits?

slight rattly noise since oil change, nothing particularly unusual, but not been driven anywhere so dont know why this has happened. Could be valve related, maybe clearances or worse.

oil castrol edge via opie

Yes geniscan, if you have a JDM s2000 you can read yourself via paperclip and blink method.

Strange you have a CEL light after an oil change tho

yup I thought strange too.

Anyway, after ecu reset no more CEL, idle for 20mins, very tentative spin round the block, gradual build up of revs over 20min drive, still no CEL so fingers crossed.

maybe bit of oil spillage on a coil pack, or wobbly volts or something. Who knows. I'll drive like a girl for the next 50 miles and see what happens.

However, beginners question - the oneshot-ness of the window has gone, how do I retrieve it ?
