Default CF Rad Panel

I fitted my CF Rad Panel last night....

Before:

After:

Pretty happy with the way it looks
However my bonnet doesn't close particularly well without it and doesn't close at all with it.

So after hearing how you can adjust the bonnet. How on earth do you do it ?
And is it worth me a complete spanner monkey doing it ?

Lee looks good
Easiest way to do it is loosen the screws holding the striker bar and move it down. Are you sure it is badlly adjusted and not fouling on some thing?

I'm having probs too. The bonnet is hitting the CF cover. Having to (carefully) press down on the bonnet to close it. It has noew scratched the CF where it rubs .

Make sure you remove the bit of metal that as standard is under the front rubber seal, with the CF plate in place its not needed and will just make that area 'too thick'.

Doesn't this just stop the air coming up from the grille? Looks like there's hardly any room for air to go into the airbox.

It's a thing of beauty isn't it.

Firstly, did you take off the black metal "plate" under the rubber at the very front of the car? The CF panel should "replace" this.

Secondly, if you want to adjust the bonnet catch (and it sounds like you probably will need to).
Look in the second picture at the bonnet catch you will see two bolts to the left of the catch and one to the right. The easiest way to make a fine adjustment iirc is to very slightly loosen the right one and then loosen the two on the left and slide that side up. There are markers and an arrow to help show how much it's moved.
SMALL Adjustments at a time.

FYI, My panel has scratched where the bonnet touches it.
Up & to the left of the bonnet catch.

Sorry, Probably should have offered this information before everyone shelled out for one.

Muppet
I had to adjust the catch up a bit, then the bonnet sat pround, down abit then the bugger wouldn't close Repeat until happy.

Oh to cure the catching issue i've attached some insulation tape to the inside of the bonnet, works quite well.
NOw I need an AEM v2 or similar as i don't want to hack the CF cover for the Snorkel

You know what's a real shame.
This one turned up on a thread only yesterday, and would be ideal for anyone with a stock airbox.

Sorry again.

NAh mate I'm not convinced by the design on that. It's esentially a Backyard special copy and the concensus in UTH that it's no good as it's not a proper CAI.
