Am I right in thinking that the rad panel will restrict air flow into both the air box *and* the top of the engine and as a result restrict cooling?

Not really, as it is merely replacing the Honda air guide.

A proper CAI would be far better though.

I cannot help feeling the car was originally designed to have something like that, but it was de-contented by the beancounters.

PS - o wonder the bonnet won't close - there's no room for the frame!

As Hondas have perfect panel gaps, re-adjusting the bonnet is a hideous, disfiguring option. Bin it, I'm afraid.

I removed the existing metal panel and attached the rubber strip to the CF panel.

Will have to go and try again and adjust the bonnet.

With regard to air cooling, watch this space. My airbox is existing on borrowed time

You are quite right!

There are no holes as such on that original photo! (I was looking at the one with the power bulge in it).

Yup. It completely beats the crap out of me how it's supposed to work.

With a NACA duct in the bonnet?

arsing about with the bonnet is not an option. Might have to cut some more holes in the CF to allow the bonnet to shut.

Blurter - you should be able to play around with bonnet catch and get a good fit.

When I fitted mine, I had to adjust it a teeny weeny bit.

So .... how many bhp is this mod likely to knock off the car in a hot summers day?

More fashion before function.

It would be a good mod if you guys cut slats in front of where the airbox draws air.
