Default Changing the fuel filter?

AM i right that our cars have 2 fuel filters, one inside and one outside the tank

The service sheet recommends changing this - how easy is this? Is it a lot of hours and therefore £££ at a stealer?

As far as i know we have one fuel filter that needs changing. Never heard of having any filter inside the tank changed.

It is not easy to change as it is behind the drivers seat, where the roof folds. It is quite tight in there and the dealers here in Greece charge quite a bit of money to do that.

The filter is quite cheap. Labor is +++ .

There are 2 filters, the main one enclosed in the fuel pump unit itself that is NOT replaceable. Then there is the suction sock which is referred to as a fuel filter (its more a pre filter/suction sock) this resides at the end of the unit and IS replaceable.

I can do the job in about an hour and a half from start to finish.

Do not bother changing the filter unless your car has done over 100k, in my experience its not worth it.
