I agree with the braces.

Save your money and don't bother getting the branded Cusco/Spoon stuff.

My Front and rear Cusco EBay copies fitted perfectly and cost me

Is this to stop the headwashers messing up my bonnet when i clean the windscreen with main beam on?

Any linky???
No; the originals have it on the centre console, where the occupant's forearms naturally fall in traffic jams, with hilarious consequences.

There IS a way of separating the functions on later cars, but since it doesn't apply to me, I dunno.

Ooh, 100w/HID front main beam H1 bulbs.

Standard main beam is crap

I think 100w Philips Rallye Plus are the bulb of choice

Chassis braces, few hundred; transforms the handling of the thing.
Yep.

Chassis braces front-and-rear, and then get the geometry properly set-up. It has an unbelievably significant effect on the handling!!!

Brakes - honestly, some better front pads (can recommend DC2500s for fast-road and very occasional track use) will be a good investment, as (if you want) is a set of braided brake hoses.

From my limitted time with the car some of the cheaper mods are the best, you can get named brands but there are clones of a lot off stuff on eBay if you want to take the chance on quality.

I reckon a few hundred quid on ebay would get you:

Cold air intake or fiberglass snorkel (but use a quality filter)
Decat pipe + anti fouler
clone front lower brace
clone rear lower brace

Then new fluids, quality pads if it's an oldish car replace those worn hoses with braided lines. use quality oils and fluids when servicing

Would not bother with cheap filters, header or exhaust. If however you wanta quality exhaust look in the FS section on here there was recently a Mugen system on offer.

From my experience of messing with four S's over the years, here's what I would do for least possible cash;
* roof down on the move
* heavy gear knob
* 100W main beam
* Lamp washers deactivated
* seatbelt and key beeps deactivated
* mesh grills
* debadge wings
* clear front and side indicators
* Decent HU, modifry DCI, replace door speakers
* lose the spare and tool kit holder, put cans and tools in where spare was
* front lower brace
* rear lower brace
* snorkel
* decat
* lighter exhaust
* debadge boot & front bumper
