I use Zymol Clear Auto bathe on the roof as it doesn't have any added wax. This can allegedly hasten the grey.
I never scrub the hood

Every 4 months or so I apply a coat of 303 protectant.

White Water Consultancy International Ltd supply 303 over the internet. Its like Armourall without the silicone in it, Ive used both on my roof and they bring it up a treat, dont use too much and apply a little to the bit of roof below the rear screen just to make sure you like it. When it rains it will run a bit onto the body work which is why you shouldnt put too much on.

I think so too, but I don't have to hand.

I know the seals on the roof rely on air pressure differentials to 'pump up' to seal the car better when driving, so it may leak under a pressure hose.

Also the seals are 'open'. You can fill them up with water which takes ages to drain away.

So to be safe I would recommend a hand-job rather than a blow from a back street Albanian

Not that I have anything against Albanians.
