Default Cleaning Invidia

Hello,

Cleaned my car yesterday, and noticed I seem to have little bits of grit stuck to the tips on my invidia. Rubbed at them with the sponge, but most of it hasn't come off.

What is the best way to deal with this?

On a side note, where I had the rims of my wheels skimmed to remove kerbing (free by Honda when I bought the car) there is corrosion the whole way round. Guess the salt got to them. Warranty claim here I come!

Sounds like you've got tar on the exhaust. Remove by usual methods.

"Help, I need help washing my pipe and I'm worried about the tip."

Shouldn't this be more "Off Topic"?

Wondered how long it would take for the smutty jokes to appear.

Tar remover should be okay on the blue, it's a metal deposit that really only gets affected if it's scraped.

Clay Bar will shift anything stuck to paint so its a safe bet on an exhaust, otherwise a specialist metal polish like AluTech ( which I know is also marketed as BluGone specifically for exhausts) will do the trick.

More worrying is the fact that you mentioned a sponge - I hope you only used this on the exhaust, not on your paintwork ? Sponges are a no-no as they trap dirt in the half bubbles to make a really effective scouring pad. They should be banned for decent cars !
