Click from clutch pedal

Click from clutch pedal
Hallo all - owned my S for 5 days, love it but have to get a couple of niggly things sorted, hope someone can help...
Just driving along normally today, and felt a 'click' through the clutch pedal - had a search on here and it's definitely not the common rear clicking sound, it happens on release of the pedal, towards the top, every two or three times it's released. You can hear it, but it's pretty quiet, it's more the 'feel' through the pedal that's slightly disconserting, feels like the pedal itself is catching on something higher up in the engine bay...... This is probably nothing but someone put my mind at rest please!
And forgive me for being dumb reparing-for-being-shot-down-in-flames-smiley:!! But when people refer to the 055 clutch, is that the model number of the clutch, or is it indeed the clutch that was introduced in 2005 (i.e. on 055 registered cars?) Basically, my car's a 2002 '52 reg - have I got the replacement (no nasty noise) clutch?!??! It seems fine, not heavy, no noises round 3k rpm, just being overly cautious.... lol
Only asking all this as I've got a 6 month full parts and labour warranty from the garage I bought it from, so any problems (potential or otherwise) I want sorted out now!!!!
Thanks in advance all!!!
Rich

Possibly the actuator ball on the slave cylinder or the clutch fork needs a grease.
Do a search on 'greasing clutch fork'.
It can be done by removing the slave cylinder under the gearbox and greasing the balljoint, and clutch forks inside the bellhousing.
Takes half an hour tops, couple of bolts and is simple.

Thanks very much Steve, I wondered if it would be the same fix as for the heavy clutch problem... Pain in the ass on a 5 day old car mind, but the (non-honda) garage I bought it from is 100 miles away so I'm tempted to do it myself - I know there was a TSB about this, but presumably you'd do this yourself rather than taking it into a honda dealer? Is this the first stages of a heavy clutch, or is the clicking a separate thing?
Thanks again, Rich.
Thanks again, Rich.

If it feels like the pedal isn't coming back up smoothly it will be grease or a pimple formed on the end if the ball. Probably grease though as above.
I've had to do mine a few times. Easy enough but you'll need to have the passenger side jacked and on axle stands to get under enough.
Search main forum on sticking clutch pedal for a full write up with pics that I used as my guide the first time. Can't remember who wrote it but it's very clear.

hehe, thanks Gary, beaten to the mark, but I appreciate your help nonetheless!!
The pedal isn't sticking at all, there's no more resistance against the foot than I would expect, and my last S had the sticky clutch problem so I know how bad it can get! It's just this click that you get through the clutch, quite strange - think I'll be following the advice tho and taking a look underneath, was hoping I wouldn't have to do this on a newer car tho, especially not after less than a week
