Clicking Soft Top and slight whine

I get the whine too, and was planning on asking the dealer about it when it goes in for its service next week.

As a workaround keep it in 1st/2nd Can't hear much after that.

clicking noise could be dust/grit in the secret compartment
try puitting your elbow on it while it is happening and see if it goes away.
If it does give it a good clean with a microfibre cloth

If passenger seat all the way back, leather tends to click/rattle against rear....adjust rake or move notch forward and seems to go....worse after cleaning/treating leather...worth a go!

This may sound far fetched. But I think your clicking noise could be the motor that powers your windscreen wipers, when they are on intermediate.
